late adventures

5/29/2012

i'm back from a lovely trip in Vermont, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. this was my first time vacationing on this side of the continent and what i found was absolute bliss and a desire to never leave. the rolling hills, stretching green lands, rivers, quiet roads, friendly folks, and the absolute stillness of mind was exactly what i needed after a hard working semester. now it's back to life and giving the city of oakland a shot of fulfilling what i had left behind on the east coast, my heart.
i'll gradually be sharing pic of my adventures, even the mountain trail biking trip i did, it was my first! hope you all have been well and haven't missed me too much.
besos!

la la land

4/02/2012

spring break is over, major sad face. i definitely enjoyed spending time in my old hometown in los angeles with my family. there's nothing like home and heaven knows it was a much needed getaway from the academic life that owns all my time.
nonetheless, i found some incredible strength in myself this past week and i'm ready to tackle the last six weeks of the semester and 30daysofbiking.
let's do this!

Venice Beach Bike Culture

4/27/2011

while i was away over the weekend i made a trip out to Venice Beach were i know cruising around on bike was the thing, my kind of scene of course. here are just a few pictures i took out there while i enjoyed the scenery, the people, and culture of Venice Beach.

under the california sun

4/25/2011

happy monday! this past weekend i took a mini trip out to sunny southern California where my family lives and had a glorious time visiting with them. i had the fortunate opportunity to hang out at Venice Beach were we rode bikes along the pier and beach and hung out under the California sun. growing up in L.A, my siblings and i spent a lot of time on the beach while on break from school and now we make it a tradition that we always go back to build more memories. one thing i really noticed is that you really tell how the style of a bike defines a culture and city, for this case the beach cruiser. i miss SoCal already, but i'm happy to be back in my foggy city. it's gonna be a busy week so hang in with me, wish me luck.
